È tra gli ospiti più attesi questa sera a Sanremo 2017 anche se LP, alias Laura 
Pergolizzi, americana di origini italiane, mamma da Napoli e nonno da Palermo, la vediamo spesso dalle nostre parti e forse, chissà, anche un po’ per questo. Esplosa la scorsa estate con la trascinante e ipnotica Lost on you, successo bissato dal nuovo singolo Other people, LP ha scritto per tanto tempo per altri artisti come Rihanna e Cher, ad esempio, ma è un’artista con così tante cose da dire che poi finalmente ha cominciato a scrivere per se stessa cantando e interpretando i suoi pezzi con una voce, e pure un fischio, inconfondibili. “Sono una persona emotiva e piena di energia – ha detto poco fa LP in conferenza stampa qui a Sanremo – e cerco di tenere sempre la mente aperta, anche se questo può portare a momenti alti e ad altri bassi”.
